- -Is the version of MacComCenter (not Pro) that ships with the Mac Boca
- Modem v.34 28800 curent for Power Mac, or is there an upgrade or patch to
- download from Smith Micro? With my newly purchased Boca, I could use the
- Mac's eWorld browser and even Z-Term at full speed. But with MacComCenter
- 1.1, as soon as I reach SLONET or even Boca's own BBS, either the carrier
- drops after a second or two, or it connects at 2400 baud.
- -Also, I tried the Smith package on the Mac with an AMT Star modem from
- work; and it seemed to log on to SLONET at a higher speed, but failed and
- reached the retry limit on the first block of every Z-modem download I
- tried.
- -Incidently, my Mac is a 7500 with an Epson ColorStylus and Syquest EZ
- drive also attached. I can get by with Z-term but could use the print to
- fax features from Smith if it could be made usable.
- - Thanks for any replies (to rnashner@slonet.org)>
